The Manor is divided into eleven distinctive apartments, each one named and styled with an essence of its own – Grace, Affinity, Bliss, Jubilee, Liberty, Serenity, Divine, Constance, and Amity – along with the converted historical Chapel and the inviting private Nook. Each apartment boasts well-equipped interiors and preserves the building’s historic features, offering a comfortable, homely atmosphere.
Grace, the largest apartment, was once the manor’s grand kitchen and lounge and now exudes elegance with its high ceilings, working fireplace, and stunning master bedroom. Affinity, Bliss, and the others, each one carrying a distinct charm, range from light-filled spaces to quiet hideaways perfect for couples, families, or larger groups, accommodating from 2 to 9 guests.
Nestled within these timeless architectural marvels are acres of magical gardens and paths, making for great exploration, play, and relaxation areas. Wander to the Italian Garden surrounded by mature shrubs and flowers, play a game on our scenic tennis court, or venture to the farthest corners to discover Pirate Island, or enjoy breathtaking views from Lundy Terrace.
Amid all this grandeur, Pickwell Manor proudly stands as a beacon of sustainability. Upon acquiring the property, the owners embarked on a transformative journey, prioritising environmental consciousness at every step. The Manor has been revolutionised with a biomass boiler replacing the oil-fired boiler and a solar panel array to harness green energy. It even boasts its Power-vault battery to store generated electricity, powering three electric car charging points and bikes.
Water is sourced from a borehole, and an on-site commercial recycling facility ensures a minimal footprint. Pickwell Manor has been awarded the GOLD level Green Tourism Award as a testament to these efforts.
